Our Operation

WHACKM Outdoors is owned and operated by Guide Trevor Boake.

This area has a lot to offer, but can be a difficult area to find successful fishing if you don't stay on top of what is happening.  That's what we do.  These lakes cycle, water levels change, some winter kill, some are aerated, some explode with a new species of fish, etc. etc.

These are some of many reasons we recommend our service.  We aim to keep our clients on the hottest bite we can find for the fishing they desire, right from the moment they wet a line.  As conditions change, we get you in the right spot, using the right thing...that is our goal and passion.

Choose WHACKM.  We want our clients to have a great time.  We want our clients to come here and thoroughly relax and have fun.  We want to share experiences with you that have made us happy over many years.

First and foremost it is important to make clear what a fishing package will and won't include.  A fishing package will not include a fishing license, lodging, and food, however the area is scattered with small towns and lodges that have the amenities you need at an affordable price.  For information regarding lodging and food, contact us and we will point you in the right direction.  We also do not provide clothing (except we do provide life jackets).  To find out what clothing you may require, check out "SEASONS" from the menu above and "APPROPRIATE CLOTHING" in it's sub-menu, and it would likely be a good idea to contact us before your arrival to see what our crazy weather has decided.

Trevor Boake will be your guide, as he has over 30 years of fishing experience.  This is the part where you kick back and relax.  He will pick clients up at their lodging and transport them to the desired waterbody.  During open water, he will use his 16ft boat that can take up to 4 passengers.  Gas (up to 200km/124 miles in truck per day, please read below for details), coolers, fishing rods, tackle, bait, life jackets and gear is included in the package.  During hard water (Ice Fishing), he will tote a skidoo with sleds on a trailer behind the truck and transport you to the waterbody.  It will be your choice if you would like to be transported by skidoo across the waterbody before or after the shelter has been set up and the heat is on and the holes are drilled, or maybe just stay warm in the truck until it is prepared for you.  The set up shack will house the guide and up to 4 anglers, has a floor, and will have propane heat and stove to make hot beverages and for you to cook food (cooking supplies and a coffee percolator will be available if needed).  Gas (once again, please read below for details), bait, rods, reels, tackle, tip-ups, jaw jackers, seats, and 2 aqua-vu underwater cameras are included in the package.  Once again, clothing will not be provided, and it is imperative to be fully prepared for what the weather may bring at this time of year, despite how cozy it will be in the shack.  For safety purposes dress appropriately for the time of year regardless.

Regarding Gas included in our package, our prices are set to accommodate up to 200 km/124 miles per day in the truck and the gas needed for the boat, skidoo, propane heater, etc..  We will point you to an accommodation in a location that will make best sense as to the whereabouts of the waterbodies we will be focusing on during your stay.  However, if the circumstances arise that we begin to average over 200 km/124 miles per day over the course of your stay, the client will be charged $0.40/km for useage above the 200km/day average that is included in the package.

So, to put it in a nutshell, your only concerns after getting here will be a fishing license, lodging, food, and clothing when you book with us, all of which we will help to the best of our ability to point you in the right direction.  Just picture it...after those things have been taken care of, the rest of your stay is a complete relaxing adventure we will take care of.  If there are any more questions or concerns, please contact us.
